Our Mission
Welcome to the BA II Plus Financial Calculator Online Simulator. Our mission is simple: to make financial education and exam preparation accessible, interactive, and seamless for students, educators, and finance professionals worldwide.
We recognize that preparing for rigorous professional examinations—such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) exams—presents significant challenges. The Texas Instruments BA II Plus is one of the very few calculators permitted in these exam rooms. Our simulator is designed to give you a realistic, high-fidelity practice experience directly inside your web browser, free of charge.
Why We Built This Simulator
Studying financial math can be intimidating, especially when you are trying to learn complex button sequences for Time Value of Money (TVM), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and loan amortization. Candidates often study on their laptops or tablets and don't always have their physical calculators on hand.
Our web app solves this problem by providing:
- Authentic Layout & Key Sequence Simulation: Our simulator replicates the button placement and register operations of the classic BA II Plus, helping you build muscle memory for the exam.
- Offline-First State Persistence: Using local storage, our tool remembers your register values and TVM inputs, so you can pick up exactly where you left off even if you refresh your browser.
- Step-by-Step Educational Guides: Along with the simulator, we provide detailed, structured tutorials and guides on financial calculations, formulas, and calculator tips.
Who We Are
This project was founded by a small team of finance professionals and educators led by Mark Lee. Having navigated the rigors of finance degrees and licensing examinations ourselves, we know first-hand how valuable having high-quality, free practice resources is. We combine our technical development skills and financial domain expertise to build and maintain this utility.
Educational Backing & Independence
We believe in open education. All our materials, guides, and tools are offered completely free of charge.
